Huber's Trip

One of my most FAVORITE things to do in October is visit Huber's Orchard and Winery! They have so many fun activies...WINE TASTING tops the chart, but also hayrides to the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, shopping, eating, and of course more wine tasting.
We had SO MUCH FUN!!!

BOO at the ZOO

Our local zoo has a great event called "boo at the zoo". It's a FUN FILLED evening with a WONDERFUL chance to EXERCISE and enjoy the "spirit" of halloween... while the kiddos get a "few pieces of candy". Yes, it's all in moderation and Jackson will only have a "few"...Dane liked the "animal crackers"!

YOU have to FIGHT!!!

That's RIGHT...you have to FIGHT!!! FIGHT the urge not stop, to push yourself further each day, each workout, to not quit on a new project, and FIGHT to become FIT, FIERCE, and FABULOUS self!!! YOU CAN'T STOP....don't let that small little voice be the stop of you....FIGHT to win the BATTLE!!
What am I talking about....the FIGHT of LIFE...ANYTHING you do. There is a choice...to WIN or LOSE...losing is NOT an option.

I'm doing another "incentive" with the mommy and me class. Everyone has to make 3 goals...1 for mind, body, and spirit. (total fitness is only conquered with wholeness) 6 weeks is our deadline!
They must workout out at LEAST 3 days a week, complete their goals, and then their name will be placed in the drawing. The PRIZE of course is POSITIVE CHANGE in their lives, but we also have a "goodie basket". Everyone is adding something to the "basket"...whatever their talent is. WE've got some GREAT gifts...so far 30 ladies have signed up!
My goals are
Body- RUN 3 times a week- 5 miles EACH!! (hoping to maintian the "runner" fitness)
Mind- COMPLETE my digital scrapbook from last year and have a MOM's night out twice
SPIRIT- read "Daily bread" each day.

I tell you this because yesterday I started my goals....and I HAD TO FIGHT the FIGHT!! Yes, I didn't want to run...but made myself do it...solo at that...and during the run I wanted to stop at mile 3...REALLY want to stop and walk... BUT I DIDN'T!!! I PUSHED, I FOUHT, I PRAYED...and I CONQUERED!! MENTAL STRENGTH is half the battle... SO DON't GIVE UP!!!
EACH DAY is a new day! Keep going!!

YES....I DID IT!!!

I did it!!!! What you ask???
I completed my first half MARATHON...that's right 13.1 miles! It was tough...physically and mentally...especially because of the cold weather! Can you say 39 degrees??? I've never really ran in cold weather...but it was a day of firsts! And my hips literally were SCREAMING at mile 10! I just kept pushing one foot in front of the other and telling myself YOU CAN DO IT!

Pretty proud of myself with a time of 1 hour and 54 minutes!! Meeting my goal of 2 hours or less!

Truly...if I can do it...so can you! It's all about PUSHING YOURSELF!!! BELIEVE that you can and YOU WILL!

I think I Can....I KNOW I CAN!!



This is me RUNNING 11 miles!!!
I can hardly believe I just typed that sentence!!! The half marathon is 4 days away and my body is READY!!! Tonight we "just ran 3 miles" and it was nothing!
CRAZY that RUNNING 3 miles can be considered "easy". I "chatted" the entire time with a fellow "Mommy and Me er" tonight while RUNNING.
AMAZING!!!!
I'm very proud to say that I stuck with the training program and NOW I'm READY for this race! NEVER GIVE UP...quitting last FOREVER...pain is temporary! Just keep GOING!! Those have been my battle cries!

I've chanted..." I think I can...., I think I can...." and NOW.... I KNOW I CAN!!!
So Don't GIVE UP on your fitness goals!!! BECOME FIT, FIERCE, and FABULOUS!!!!
GET UP AND JUST...

MIDWEST MANIA!

It's been a CRAZY last 4 days. Just back from the WINDY CITY last night. I went to MIDWEST MANIA with 2 other aerobics instructors! WE had a blast!!! Your thinking what is MIDWEST MANIA! Well it basicaly is a AEROBICS CONVENTION...yes...3 days of NON-STOP workouts!!! CRAZY COOL...or shall I say HOT HOT HOT! There were so many different types of classes to choose from...so many fun NEW THINGS to do....and challenge my class with. I was a KID in a CANDY store!
Slanted riser step, circuit workouts, BOUNCE class, BODY ATTACK, Salsa on the step, Pilates Reformer on the Mat, Partner play, gliding discs, etc.... such fun!

So what' new with your workout?

6 days and counting til my first half-marathon....now that's CRAZY!
